Three Phases of a Remodel
Did you know...
…that in every successful remodel, 3 phases are executed?
You may be a DIY client that has the time and feels confident in doing this yourself with some guidance. Or you may be too busy with work, kids and life in general, and want this service done for you. Either way, in this phase, the design intent and style will be developed and expressed in the finished materials selected. This ensures a cohesive end result that will really shine!
It is one thing to pick materials such as nice flooring, and wall tile, but it is another to create elevations and drawings for specific details (i.e. proposed construction drawings, tile elevations, lighting, product specs, etc). This phase is crucial to allow for proper finished materials installation. For example, it instructs the framer where a medicine cabinet should go so that it does not interfere with the lighting fixtures, backsplashes, faucets, etc. Your designer will provide these drawings as part of their process. If that person is you, we can help create these drawings through the planning phase. This ensures a timely remodel by providing all necessary instruction to the workers in advance.
3. Project Management:
The decisions have been made, materials have been received… now it’s construction time! Your project manager is an agent working for you on your behalf. They will communicate with the workers, suppliers, subcontractors, etc., with your best interest at heart. They will communicate any unforeseen conditions as they appear, in a timely manner. They will also maintain the schedule to the best of their ability and provide creative solutions as needed in order to alleviate any headaches that could potentially develop. This ensures a fun experience for you and everyone involved!
